Key Roles & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be actively involved in research and development functions related to pharmaceutical products, supporting both innovation and compliance. Research Development Senior Chemist Job
Key responsibilities include:
- Executing research and development activities related to pharmaceutical formulations and processes
- Designing, performing, and documenting laboratory experiments as per development protocols
- Analyzing experimental data and interpreting results to support formulation optimization
- Developing and improving formulation compositions, processes, and analytical approaches
- Maintaining accurate and complete laboratory documentation in accordance with GMP and regulatory requirements
- Preparing development reports, protocols, summaries, and technical documentation
- Supporting scale-up, pilot batch execution, and technology transfer to manufacturing units
- Ensuring adherence to data integrity, quality, and safety guidelines within the R&D laboratory
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams such as Quality Assurance, Production, and Regulatory Affairs
- Participating in investigations related to development deviations or process challenges
- Following laboratory safety practices and maintaining compliance with internal SOPs
Eligibility Criteria
Education
- M.Sc. in Chemistry from a recognized university or institution
Candidates with a strong academic background in pharmaceutical or applied chemistry will be preferred.
Experience
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical Research & Development
- Hands-on exposure to formulation development, laboratory experiments, and documentation
- Experience working in a regulated pharmaceutical environment is essential
Skills Required
- Practical knowledge of pharmaceutical R&D workflows
- Understanding of formulation development and process optimization
- Familiarity with analytical techniques used in pharmaceutical research
