Key Roles & Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Monitoring and managing quality assurance activities throughout API manufacturing processes
- Ensuring compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and internal quality standards
- Reviewing batch manufacturing records, analytical documents, and quality reports
- Handling deviations, investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of CAPA
- Managing change control systems and assessing quality impact of process changes
- Preparing, reviewing, and updating SOPs, protocols, and quality documentation
- Coordinating with Production, Quality Control, Engineering, and Regulatory teams
- Supporting internal audits, external audits, and regulatory inspections
- Ensuring adherence to guidelines issued by regulatory authorities such as US FDA, WHO, CDSCO, and EDQM
Additional Responsibilities for Managerial Positions:
- Leading and mentoring QA teams to achieve departmental goals
- Reviewing and approving critical quality documents
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives within the quality system
- Participating in management reviews and quality risk assessments
- Acting as a key contact during regulatory inspections and client audits
Eligibility Criteria
Education
- B.Pharm or M.Pharm from a recognized institute
- M.Sc in relevant disciplines such as Chemistry, Microbiology, or related life sciences
Experience
- Officer / Executive Level:
- Minimum 3 to maximum 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance
- Experience must be within pharmaceutical or API manufacturing units
- Manager / Senior Manager Level:
- 10 years or more of relevant QA experience
- Prior exposure to team handling and leadership responsibilities is mandatory
Skills Required
- In-depth knowledge of cGMP, GLP, and quality management systems
- Practical experience in deviation management, CAPA, and change control
- Familiarity with regulatory expectations for regulated markets
- Strong documentation, review, and compliance skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience working in US FDA or EDQM-approved facilities will be an added advantage
