Case Processing Specialist – Pharmacovigilance
The Case Processing Specialist will be responsible for managing and processing Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) related to Abbott pharmaceutical products. Key Roles & Responsibilities
The Case Processing Specialist will perform several pharmacovigilance-related activities related to safety case management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prioritizing and triaging Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) received for Abbott pharmaceutical products worldwide
- Processing spontaneous ICSRs and solicited ICSRs received from Non-Interventional Organized Data Collection Schemes (NIODCS)
- Performing medical review of safety cases and assessing company causality for certain reports
- Coding adverse events, indications, medical history, and medications using MedDRA coding standards
- Verifying case data accuracy and finalizing case records within safety databases
- Generating follow-up queries to obtain missing information or clarifications from reporting sources
- Performing case amendments or deletions when required
- Investigating late or delayed case reports and recommending corrective and preventive actions
- Supporting safety database reconciliation and data clean-up activities
- Assisting with safety database updates and data migration projects
- Supporting maintenance and updates of pharmacovigilance SOPs and work instructions
