Key Roles & Responsibilities
The Pharmacovigilance & Medical Information Officer will play a key role in maintaining patient safety and regulatory compliance while delivering accurate and timely medical information.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing adverse event cases in compliance with local regulations, global pharmacovigilance standards, and internal Sanofi quality documents.
- Maintaining thorough knowledge of pharmacovigilance procedures, medical information processes, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Supporting the Country Safety Head in local safety surveillance, signal detection, and risk management activities.
- Managing product alerts, safety communications, and supporting market research and safety-related programs.
- Responding accurately and promptly to medical information inquiries from healthcare professionals, patients, and external stakeholders.
- Ensuring timely and accurate safety reporting to Health Authorities and internal global safety teams.
- Collaborating with third-party vendors involved in pharmacovigilance and medical information activities.
- Working closely with internal PV and MI stakeholders to ensure consistent safety practices and communication.
- Actively contributing to North Europe Cluster pharmacovigilance and medical information projects.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within drug safety and medical information operations.
Hiring Pharmacovigilance Medical Information Officer
Eligibility Criteria
Education
Candidates must possess a degree in one of the following disciplines:
- Pharmacy
- Medicine
- Life Sciences
- Equivalent scientific or healthcare-related qualification
Experience
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required.
- Experience in pharmacovigilance, drug safety, or medical information roles is strongly preferred.
Skills Required
Core Competencies:
- High attention to detail with strong focus on compliance and data accuracy.
- Strong planning, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within cross-functional, global teams.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with pharmacovigilance or safety databases is preferred.
Language Skills:
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
- Fluency in Norwegian (written and spoken) is required for this role.
Salary & Benefits
- Estimated Salary (India Benchmark): ₹12,00,000 – ₹18,00,000 per annum
