This role is part of the Global Clinical Operations team within Oncology, responsible for leading asset-level clinical strategies and execution plans. The position focuses on ensuring high-quality study delivery, regulatory readiness, and collaboration across multiple global teams. It is a senior leadership role with strategic and operational responsibilities across the clinical development lifecycle.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Clinical Strategy & Asset Leadership
- Lead asset-level operational strategy and execution plans for oncology programs
- Contribute to Clinical Development Plans (CDP) and Integrated Evidence Plans
- Ensure studies are inspection-ready and aligned with regulatory requirements
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with clinical, biostatistics, safety, supply chain, and vendor teams
- Coordinate activities to ensure timely and high-quality data delivery
- Represent Global Clinical Operations at the asset level
Study Execution & Oversight
- Oversee vendor selection, contracting, and operational performance
- Drive implementation of risk management and mitigation strategies
- Ensure monitoring of study progress and compliance with timelines
Data & Decision-Making
- Analyze clinical data and operational metrics to support strategic decisions
- Present insights and recommendations to governance boards and senior leadership
- Translate scientific and operational inputs into actionable plans
Innovation & Process Improvement
- Drive adoption of new technologies and innovative approaches in clinical trials
- Identify opportunities to improve study efficiency and quality
- Support transformation initiatives across global clinical operations
Leadership & Team Management
- Provide strategic direction to Study Delivery Teams
- Mentor team members and ensure alignment with project goals
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders, including executive leadership
Eligibility Criteria
Education
- Advanced degree such as MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent clinical qualification
Experience
- Minimum 8+ years of clinical development experience
- At least 3+ years leading interventional clinical trials (Phase I–III)
- Experience in oncology clinical development
- Proven experience managing global, cross-functional teams
Skills Required
Technical & Domain Skills:
- Strong understanding of clinical trial design, safety governance, and regulatory submissions
- Knowledge of clinical development processes across multiple therapeutic areas
- Experience in project planning, risk management, and quality compliance
Leadership & Core Skills:
