Key Roles & Responsibilities
As a Pharmacovigilance Services Associate, the selected candidate will support end-to-end drug safety activities. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing case identification and intake from multiple data sources
- Creating, reviewing, and processing Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs)
- Entering safety data accurately into pharmacovigilance safety databases
- Performing MedDRA coding for adverse events, indications, and medical history
- Managing case processing, quality checks, submissions, and follow-ups
- Ensuring compliance with client-specific procedures and global regulatory timelines
- Supporting case submissions to health authorities as per applicable regulations
- Maintaining data quality, consistency, and completeness throughout the case lifecycle
- Solving routine pharmacovigilance-related issues using established guidelines
- Working closely with team members and reporting progress to the direct supervisor
- Following detailed instructions for daily tasks and new assignments
- Contributing as an individual team member within a defined and focused scope of work
Eligibility Criteria
Education
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences
Candidates with academic exposure to pharmacovigilance or drug safety concepts will be preferred.
Experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety operations
Skills Required
- Understanding of pharmacovigilance and drug safety processes
- Experience in ICSR case processing and safety database handling
- Knowledge of MedDRA coding principles
- Familiarity with global pharmacovigilance regulations and reporting timelines
- Ability to follow SOPs, work instructions, and regulatory guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently within a team environment
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts if required
