Key Roles & Responsibilities

The Senior Medical Information Manager II will play a strategic and operational role in delivering high-quality medical information while mentoring team members. Core responsibilities include: Senior Medical Information Manager II Job

  • Responding accurately and promptly to unsolicited medical information inquiries from healthcare professionals across multiple communication channels
  • Documenting all medical information interactions in compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and global guidelines
  • Creating, reviewing, and approving Medical Response Documents (MRDs) for assigned product portfolios
  • Collaborating with global Medical Information colleagues and Medical Strategy Teams to define content strategies and execute aligned tactics
  • Delivering therapeutic area and product training to internal teams such as Medical Information, Compliance, and Customer Interaction Centers
  • Supporting medical information presence at scientific meetings and medical congresses when required
  • Contributing to the development and optimization of internal processes related to daily medical information activities
  • Participating in cross-functional projects aimed at improving efficiency, quality, and service delivery
  • Monitoring and analyzing metrics related to medical information activities and developing actionable insights
  • Preparing reports and presenting findings to Medical Information leadership and cross-functional partners
  • Supporting audit readiness activities, including internal audits and external inspections
  • Conducting quality monitoring of medical information interactions handled by MI agents
  • Providing coaching, guidance, and mentoring to MI colleagues on inquiry handling, scientific writing, and best practices
  • Acting as a knowledge resource for junior team members and contributing to their professional development
  • Identifying, promoting, and implementing best practices within the Medical Information function

Eligibility Criteria

Education

  • PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent advanced degree
  • Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in medical information, drug information, medical writing, or relevant clinical roles
  • Experience supporting oncology or complex therapeutic areas is preferred

Skills Required

  • Strong scientific knowledge and ability to quickly learn new disease areas and products
  • Excellent literature search, analysis, and critical evaluation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a complex, matrixed global environment
