Key Roles & Responsibilities
As a Business Analyst in the Life Sciences domain, the selected candidate will play a critical role in analyzing business processes, defining system requirements, and enabling regulatory-compliant pharmacovigilance solutions.
1. Business Analysis & Solution Design
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Pharmacovigilance and Drug Safety systems.
- Analyze existing business processes and identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Conduct requirement-gathering workshops with stakeholders for system implementation and optimization.
- Translate business needs into clear and structured documentation such as URS, Functional Specifications, and user stories.
- Support validation activities by developing test scenarios and scripts to ensure system performance and compliance.

2. Pharmacovigilance & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure systems align with global regulatory expectations including FDA, EMA, and ICH guidelines.
- Support implementation and optimization of drug safety platforms such as Veeva Vault Safety.
- Provide expert guidance on safety workflows, case processing, reporting, and compliance standards.
- Ensure adherence to global GxP and pharmacovigilance regulatory frameworks.
3. Stakeholder & Client Management
- Serve as a key liaison between clients, internal delivery teams, and technology stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to prioritize backlogs and align deliverables with client expectations.
- Build long-term relationships with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and satisfaction.
- Contribute to Request for Proposal (RFP) activities and pre-sales initiatives when required.

4. Agile Delivery & Project Execution
- Support agile delivery models by managing user stories, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality project outcomes.
- Facilitate continuous improvement through feedback, retrospectives, and process optimization.
5. Engagement & Change Management
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support organizational change management for clients transitioning to new pharmacovigilance platforms.
- Define deployment strategies, go-live planning, and post-implementation support models.
- Ensure knowledge transfer and sustainable system adoption by client teams.
Eligibility Criteria
Education
- Mandatory Requirement:
- Minimum 15 years of full-time education (any discipline meeting the criteria)
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in:
- Business Requirements Analysis
- Life Sciences or Pharmacovigilance projects
- Drug Safety system implementation or support
Skills Required
Core Domain Skills:
- Strong expertise in Pharmacovigilance and Drug Safety Surveillance.
- Understanding of global safety regulations and guidelines (FDA, EMA, ICH E2E).
- Knowledge of medical terminology, MedDRA, and WHO Drug dictionaries.
Tools & Technologies:
- Veeva Vault Safety
- JIRA and Confluence
- HP-ALM or Q-Test
- Pharmacovigilance systems such as Argus or ArisGlobal
- Veeva QMS
- SQL / Oracle (basic querying knowledge)
- Clinical and regulatory systems including Medidata, TMF, and eCRF platforms
- MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
