Key Roles & Responsibilities
As a Copy Editor (Pharma), your responsibilities will include:
- Edit and proofread pharmaceutical promotional and educational content
- Ensure compliance with AMA Manual of Style and internal brand guidelines
- Identify and correct grammar, punctuation, formatting, and content inconsistencies
- Validate trademarks, references, and regulatory elements in documents
- Perform quality control (QC) checks after review cycles
- Ensure no additional errors are introduced during revisions
- Collaborate with Promotional Review Committee (PRC) teams
- Maintain and update editorial style guides
- Perform Veeva-based content validation and approval checks
- Verify layout accuracy and ensure alignment with approved versions
- Coordinate with stakeholders for content approval workflows
Eligibility Criteria
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences or English
- Preferred: B.Pharm, M.Pharm, BSc, MSc
Experience
- 2 to 4 years of experience in:
- Pharma content editing
- Medical proofreading
- Promotional material review
Skills Required
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of AMA Manual of Style and editorial standards
- Expertise in US and UK English editing
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical terminology and scientific content
- Experience with Veeva systems (preferred)
