Job Overview
The Safety Science Analyst will support Clinical Safety and Pharmacovigilance (PSS) operations, including adverse event (AE) case processing for clinical trials and post-marketing products. The role involves handling safety data, ensuring regulatory compliance, and submitting reports within defined timelines.
This position requires strict adherence to global safety regulations and internal Quality Management Systems.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Adverse Event Case Processing
- Perform intake and triage of safety information from various sources (clinical trials and spontaneous reports)
- Process Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) in safety databases
- Enter safety data accurately into adverse event tracking systems
- Prepare detailed patient narratives for safety cases
- Code adverse events using MedDRA terminology (for marketed products, where applicable)
- Assist in listedness assessment against product labeling
Regulatory Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and submit expedited Serious Adverse Event (SAE) reports within regulatory timelines
- Support submission of periodic safety reports to global regulatory authorities
- Coordinate with clients, investigators, ethics committees, and internal project teams
- Ensure compliance with worldwide regulatory reporting standards
- Assist in database reconciliation activities
Documentation & Quality Management
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs)
- Maintain documentation related to adverse event reporting requirements
- Support archival and documentation uploads for cases and studies
- Work within the company’s Quality Management System framework
- Maintain professional collaboration with cross-functional pharmacovigilance teams

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- B.Pharm or M.Pharm with 0–6 months of experience in CRO or Pharmacovigilance
OR - PharmD (Freshers eligible)
Relevant certifications in Clinical Research, Clinical Data Management (CDM), or Pharmacovigilance will be an added advantage.
