Key Roles & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting end-to-end pharmacovigilance case processing activities. Key responsibilities include: Freshers Officer ICSR Jobs in Ahmedabad
- Performing pharmacovigilance case processing activities, including duplicate case search and validation
- Entering and reviewing safety data accurately in safety databases as per defined timelines
- Conducting drug coding and adverse event coding using standardized dictionaries such as MedDRA
- Assessing listedness, causality, seriousness, and expectedness of adverse events
- Performing expediting assessments and preparing high-quality safety narratives for ICSRs
- Ensuring all case processing activities comply with SOPs, Work Instructions, regulatory guidelines, and internal quality standards
- Preparing, updating, and reviewing pharmacovigilance SOPs, templates, training materials, and guidance documents
- Escalating urgent or critical safety issues to the Line Manager and Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance (QPPV) in a timely manner
- Maintaining accurate documentation and professional communication records with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders
- Supporting quality audits, inspections, and internal compliance reviews
- Delivering training sessions for new team members and supporting onboarding activities when required
- Working closely with the ICSR Team Leader to escalate complex issues beyond routine case processing
- Assisting the Group Leader in achieving complete regulatory compliance and on-time case submissions
- Providing pharmacovigilance-related guidance to internal colleagues and clients when needed
- Mentoring junior or less experienced team members to improve overall team performance
- Staying updated with global and local pharmacovigilance regulatory changes and implementing updates accordingly
- Supporting the development and revision of pharmacovigilance SOPs for both internal use and client projects
- Communicating with regulatory authorities or clients when assigned
- Performing any additional responsibilities assigned by the reporting manager to support business requirements
Eligibility Criteria
Education
Candidates must hold one of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
- Any other relevant healthcare or scientific discipline
Experience
- Freshers are eligible to apply
- Candidates with academic exposure to pharmacovigilance, drug safety, or clinical research will have an added advantage
Skills Required
