Key Roles & Responsibilities
The Officer – PD Lab will be responsible for laboratory-scale development and smooth transition of agrochemical formulations to commercial manufacturing. Hikal Ltd Hiring Officer PD Lab
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Setting up, operating, and maintaining laboratory instruments and formulation equipment
- Ensuring safe handling and optimal utilization of lab equipment and materials
- Supporting formulation development and optimization activities for agrochemical products
- Managing scale-up of formulations from laboratory level to pilot and production scale
- Compiling experimental data, observations, and formulation results
- Preparing technical reports, presentations, and documentation for manufacturing transfer
- Supporting coordination between PD lab and manufacturing teams during scale-up
- Ensuring compliance with agrochemical regulations, safety standards, and internal SOPs
- Maintaining accurate laboratory records and documentation
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the PD lab
Eligibility Criteria
Education
- M.Sc. in Chemistry or a related relevant discipline (preferred)
- Equivalent postgraduate qualification in agrochemicals or formulation sciences may also be considered
Experience
- 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in agrochemical formulation development or related laboratory roles
- Practical exposure to formulation scale-up and manufacturing transfer activities
- Experience working in regulated chemical or agrochemical manufacturing environments
Skills Required
- Strong understanding of agrochemical formulation principles
- Expertise in laboratory equipment operation and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of scale-up methodologies and production support
- Familiarity with agrochemical regulatory and compliance requirements
- Ability to prepare detailed technical documentation and presentations
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and coordination abilities
