Drug Safety Associate
The Drug Safety Associate will be responsible for end-to-end processing of Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs), ensuring regulatory compliance, database accuracy, and adherence to pharmacovigilance timelines.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Case Intake & Processing
- Receive and review adverse event reports from healthcare professionals, patients, literature sources, and call centers
- Validate cases based on minimum reporting criteria (identifiable patient, reporter, suspect drug, adverse event)
- Enter safety data accurately into global safety databases such as Argus, ARISg, or Veeva Safety
- Perform duplicate checks and maintain case quality standards
- Initiate follow-ups for missing or incomplete safety information
- Ensure complete and accurate case documentation

- Perform MedDRA coding for adverse events and medical history

- Hands-on exposure to ICSR processing
- Working knowledge of Argus Safety or equivalent safety database systems
Skills Required
- Strong understanding of MedDRA coding
- Familiarity with global pharmacovigilance regulations
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting timelines
- Experience in safety database systems (Argus, ARISg, Veeva Safety, etc.)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage case volumes efficiently
- Good communication and teamwork skills
