Key Roles & Responsibilities
Clinical Coding & Data Management
- Perform clinical data coding activities for one or multiple protocols
- Manage coding deliverables across the entire study lifecycle
- Conduct data review, raise queries, and resolve discrepancies
- Perform Serious Adverse Event (SAE) reconciliation
Project & Timeline Management
- Handle coding project timelines with minimal supervision
- Support or act as Lead Coder or Data Operations Coordinator when required
- Contribute to coding-related decision-making and problem resolution
System Validation & Quality Control
- Validate coding tools, reports, and datasets
- Perform quality control checks for coding outputs
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards
Documentation & Compliance
- Handle audit requirements for assigned studies
- Maintain proper documentation of coding activities
- Follow company procedures and work instructions
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with data management teams and stakeholders
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams and clients
- Support implementation of new technologies and process improvements
Eligibility Criteria
Education
Candidates must have qualifications in any of the following fields:
- Pharmacy
- Life Sciences
- Nursing
- Medical / Dental
- Or equivalent educational background
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in clinical data coding or data management
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, anatomy, and physiology
- Experience with coding dictionaries such as MedDRA and WHO-DD
- Understanding of clinical data management processes from start-up to database lock
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Knowledge of database technologies related to clinical data
