Department Details
The role is part of the Clinical Data Management team responsible for designing and configuring electronic data capture (EDC) systems for clinical trials. The Clinical Database Designer will collaborate with data managers, programmers, and study teams to ensure high-quality database builds aligned with study protocols and regulatory standards.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will contribute to clinical study database design and system configuration activities. Key responsibilities include:
- Interpreting clinical study protocols for database design requirements
- Designing and updating electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs)
- Creating and maintaining Edit Specification Documents
- Developing specifications for EDC build components such as system settings and user roles
- Completing study authorization and trial capacity documentation
- Participating in design review meetings and providing technical inputs
- Leading internal edit specification review discussions
- Configuring databases for data collection and access controls
- Communicating project risks and timeline concerns to data management leads
- Escalating quality issues when required
- Ensuring completion of project-specific and SOP training
- Providing inputs on build timelines and project milestones

Eligibility Criteria
Education
Candidates must have one of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science

Experience
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in clinical database design or EDC configuration
