Key Roles & Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities Include:
- Leading medicinal chemistry programs from hit identification through lead optimization and candidate nomination
- Designing and executing complex synthetic routes for small molecules and advanced modalities

- Driving chemistry strategy across multi-modality discovery projects
- Collaborating closely with biology, DMPK, ADME, and platform science teams

- Applying productivity-enhancing technologies including high-throughput experimentation and flow chemistry
- Mentoring and guiding junior scientists to maintain global-quality research standards

Eligibility Criteria
Education
- Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or related discipline
- Postdoctoral research experience is highly desirable
Degrees from internationally recognized universities are strongly preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years to maximum 20 years of industry experience
- Proven background in small-molecule drug discovery within pharmaceutical or biotech organizations
- Demonstrated experience working in global or international research environments
Skills Required
- Strong expertise in medicinal and synthetic chemistry
- Advanced knowledge of route design, optimization, and scale-up challenges
- Experience with emerging drug discovery modalities such as ADCs, peptides, covalent inhibitors, and targeted protein degraders
- Hands-on exposure to modern discovery technologies including HTE and flow chemistry
- Proficiency in digital chemistry platforms, ELNs, and cheminformatics tools
- Excellent scientific communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to mentor teams and influence project direction
- Interest or experience in client engagement or business development is an added advantage
