Key Roles & Responsibilities
As a Pharmacovigilance Safety Scientist, you will be responsible for managing safety data, preparing regulatory reports, and ensuring compliance with global pharmacovigilance standards.
Core Responsibilities Include:
Regulatory Writing & Documentation
- Prepare aggregate safety reports such as PSURs, PBRERs, PADERs, DSURs, and annual safety reports
- Develop Risk Management Plans (RMPs) as part of routine PV activities
- Author signal management reports based on safety data analysis
Data Analysis & Literature Review
- Conduct literature searches and validate findings for inclusion in reports
- Extract and verify data from multiple sources including safety databases and prior reports
- Analyze safety signals, reference safety information (RSI), and sales data
Operational Support
- Generate line listings from safety databases
- Maintain and reconcile internal trackers and documentation
- Support urgent and high-priority pharmacovigilance activities
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all deliverables meet global regulatory standards (ICH-GCP, FDA, EMA guidelines)
- Submit reports within agreed timelines and maintain high-quality standards
- Participate in quality discussions and support continuous improvement initiatives
Collaboration & Leadership
- Coordinate with senior PV scientists and management teams
- Contribute to SOP and work instruction updates
- Identify deviations and assist in CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) processes
- Maintain professional communication within cross-functional teams

Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:

Experience

- Experience in:
- Medical writing
- Literature review
- Signal detection
- Aggregate report preparation
Skills Required
