The hiring is within the Process Research & Development (PR&D) department. Selected candidates will work on developing scalable synthetic routes for new chemical entities (NCEs) and supporting manufacturing processes.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Candidates selected for this role will be responsible for:
- Designing and executing multi-step organic synthesis reactions
- Developing and optimizing chemical processes for scalability
- Handling pyrophoric and sensitive reactions safely
- Conducting literature searches for reaction conditions and pathways
- Identifying efficient synthetic routes for NCE compounds (gram to kilogram scale)
- Performing synthesis, purification, and characterization of intermediates
- Interpreting analytical data to guide experimental planning
- Using tools such as ChemDraw and SciFinder for research and documentation
- Managing multiple reactions simultaneously and ensuring productivity
- Recording experimental data in electronic lab notebooks
- Following safety protocols, SOPs, and EHS guidelines

Education
- M.Sc in Organic Chemistry
Experience
- 2–6 years of experience in chemical synthesis or process development
Skills Required
- Strong understanding of organic chemistry and reaction mechanisms
