Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Performing routine and non-routine food testing as per approved analytical methods
- Conducting nutritional analysis including vitamins, preservatives, food additives, and colorants
- Carrying out fatty acid profiling using gas chromatography techniques
- Operating, calibrating, and maintaining advanced instruments such as HPLC, GC, GCMSMS, and LCMSMS
- Executing residue and contaminant analysis in food and water samples
- Ensuring strict adherence to standard operating procedures and quality guidelines
- Reviewing analytical data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Documenting test results in line with laboratory quality systems
- Supporting audits, method validations, and proficiency testing programs
- For leadership roles: supervising daily laboratory activities, guiding analysts, and managing workload distribution

Eligibility Criteria
Education
- M.Sc. in Chemistry
- M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry
- Equivalent postgraduate qualifications in relevant chemical sciences
Experience
- Analyst / Senior Analyst:
- 1 to 6 years (Nutrition & Water Testing)
- 2 to 6 years (Residue Analysis)
- Team Lead / Group Leader:
- 6 to 8 years of relevant laboratory experience
- Prior exposure to team handling and workflow supervision preferred
Skills Required
- Strong hands-on experience with chromatographic and mass spectrometry techniques
- Practical knowledge of food testing, residue analysis, or nutritional chemistry
- Familiarity with laboratory documentation and quality compliance systems
- Ability to work accurately under time-bound testing schedules
- Experience in NABL-accredited or equivalent laboratories will be an added advantage
